NFPA-20 Fire Pump Measuring Barrel – Germek

Measuring barrel consisting of copper pipes, 63mm 150PSI glycerine pressure gauge with 1/4″ standard BSP thread, Danfoss KP36 pressure switch, bronze check valve with 1/2″ standard NPT thread, 1/2″ full bore ball valve, elbows, union, tee, galvanized 1/4″ plug, wall fixing clips (optional) and straight brass nipple.

Manufactured by Germek Equipamentos, this measuring barrel has been developed in accordance with the requirements of the NFPA-20 standard to make up the pressure reading barrel and the automatic drive of motor pump sets for firefighting that meet the requirements of NBR 10.897, NBR 13.714 and NFPA-20. Its pressure switch must be set according to the pump’s operating pressure as specified in the design.
This barrel must be installed individually for each pump in a branch in the discharge pipe of the pump of which the barrel is part.

Note 1: The measuring scale of the pressure gauge and the setting range of the pressure switch may change depending on the design pressure of the network.

Note 2: The pressure switch on the pressurization pump (Jockey) must have a differential adjustment range for setting the pump’s start and stop points. The diesel and electric pumps (main and secondary) should only be adjusted to the starting pressure point. Stopping should not be done automatically by the pressure switch, only manually by the control panel, in accordance with NFPA-20.
